I’ve always been active! Playing soccer, volleyball, running…..
I accidentally joined a strength class in a gym, and I fell in love. I felt how the training made me stronger in everyday life, and I liked it.
After one year of regularly training (and giving birth to my 2nd child), I became a group-class fitness instructor. Mainly ‘just for fun’, and I taught a few hours per week.
The interest grew, and I became a Zumba instructor and added other training modalities to the list. After teaching for a few years, I became a yoga instructor and later a pilates instructor. (You can read more about my journey with yoga here)
I have never joined a power yoga training, but rather made up my own flavor of Power yoga that might differ from the American understanding of Power Yoga / Sculpt. I have added the best from different training modalities to CrossYoga Power.
CrossYoga Power is mainly moving like we do in Flow Yoga, but sometimes we hold postures for longer to really challenge the muscles. Or we repeat a short sequence five times on e.g one leg to feel the burn.
We sometimes add (light) weights, blocks, or straps to the class in fun and new ways.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a trained yoga instructor to join?
You have to have completed a yoga training (minimum 100hr) or be a trained pilates instructor. Power yoga postures/ exercises can also be added to the practice of Pilates.
What if I can’t join the real-time Zoom calls?
We strongly encourage you to join the 2.5-hour-long Zoom calls. This is our time to meet with you, answer your questions and have community. IF it is completely impossible to attend, you can watch the recording after. You have 7 days to do this after the Zoom call.
How do the Continuing Education with Yoga Alliance work?
After completing the course, you receive a PDF certificate via email (or a CrossYoga certificate). You upload the certificate in your Yoga Alliance profile, choose the 'Continuing Education called: ‘CrossYoga Power Course’. After this, we will approve it and your hours will be added to your profile.
How do I become a certified CrossYoga instructor with this training?
If you want to have a CrossYoga certification, you’ll have to have completed a minimum of 100 hours of yoga teacher training. After completing the Power Yoga course, you’ll have to record and upload a 30-minute video of yourself teaching CrossYoga. You’ll get personal feedback via Zoom from one of our trainers. You’ll have to pass the video.
