Here’s How You Can Stay Consistent Doing CrossYoga
“I wanna do CrossYoga regularly, but I just can’t”
I hear this a lot - especially when it comes to working out, training, yoga, or exercising from home. I completely understand that it can be hard to find motivation and momentum in the middle of a busy everyday life. I hope some of what I share here can help you find the motivation and routine to keep your practice going!
First: remind yourself of your WHY
What do movement, breath, prayer, and meditation make you feel? In the moment and afterward? Remember that!
Don’t wait for motivation and momentum to beam down from heaven!
Practice even on the days when you’re tired, and simply allow yourself to move more gently.
There are practical tips and tricks that can support you- you just have to figure out what works for you!
Set aside time weekly in your calendar. The 30–45 minutes you dedicate to CrossYoga are just as important as meeting a friend. Have that mindset.
If possible, meet up with a friend and do CrossYoga together in front of a screen. The commitment you make to a friend can help keep you on track… and your friend most likely needs it too :-)
Put on your yoga pants and roll out your mat before you actually start the class. This can motivate you and remind you to do it.
If you have the budget for it, buy some Bluetooth earbuds with noise cancellation and use them when joining the class.
Use as big a screen or TV as possible to create the most realistic experience.
If you really want to move regularly - with or without motivation - I have some great advice for you: become a CrossYoga instructor and teach classes weekly😊
Honestly, I don’t always “feel like” doing yoga or working out either, but I do it anyway because people are expecting me to show up. And once I’m there, I truly enjoy it and feel immensely blessed!
