Embodied Faith
A simple way to bring faith, movement, and Scripture together.
What if slowing down your body could help create more space for prayer, reflection and connection with God?
Embodied Faith is a free course designed for Christians who want to explore simple,
practical ways of becoming more present, calm, and open to God.
Watch, practice, and reflect whenever it works for you.
Learn how to combine gentle movement, breathing, and Scripture reading in ways you can use personally or share with your church community.
We don’t only experience faith with our minds
Our minds can be too busy at times to slow down, be more present to listen and pray.
Why I Turned My Practice Into Purpose
I'm Rie, founder of CrossYoga. It was a path that grew out of a University degree in Social Science, years of theology training, and eventually, over 3,000 hours of teaching yoga.
The more I experienced how movement and stillness could deepen my walk with God, the more I knew this couldn't stay just my own practice.
CrossYoga exists to train those who want to carry that same peace and share it with others, helping people experience God’s peace and love.
My hope is that you’ll walk away from this training changed, and share that change to everyone you teach.
Who should take
?
Embodied Faith
Embodied Faith was created especially for Christians who want to explore new ways of helping people connect faith with everyday life.
Church and ministry leaders
Looking for simple practices to incorporate into prayer gatherings, small groups, retreats, or other church settings.
Bible group leaders
Wanting a meaningful way to help people slow down and be more discerning before reading and discussing Scripture.
Preachers and teachers
Looking for alternative ways to help people engage with the message of the Gospel, not only through listening, but through reflection and experience.
Christians exploring their own prayer life
Wanting a simple practice they can use at home to calm their minds, become present, and make space for prayer.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
-Matthew 11:28-30
Your body was never meant to be left out of your faith
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father” - Ephesians 3:14
Scripture reminds us our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, yet so much of how we practice faith today lives only in the mind. This course invites the whole body in the conversation.
Slow breath and gentle movement calm
the nervous system, helping you listen to Scripture, to prayer, and to God more.

Frequently asked questions
-
You don't need any experience at all! Embodied Faith is designed for everyone, no matter where you're starting from. Whether your body moves easily or needs a gentler pace, every practice can be adapted to you because this isn't about getting the movements "right," it's about making space to be still with God.
-
There's no set timeline. The Embodied Faith course is made to fit into your life, not the other way around. Some move through it in a single sitting, others take a few weeks, returning to a chapter whenever they have a quiet moment.
-
Absolutely. Many people start this course just for themselves, and find that what they've experienced is something they want to bring to others like a Bible study group, a prayer gathering, even their own church.
-
You can expect a gentle, guided journey through movement, breath, and Scripture, not a workout, and not a lecture.
Each chapter builds on the last, ending in one practice that brings it all together. Most of all, expect space to slow down and listen.

CrossYoga is genuinely, intentionally Christian in its foundation.
Our mission is to awaken faith in God's grace and bring healing love to the world, and everything we teach flows from that.
